Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024
- Indian Administrative Service (IAS):
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university in India.
- Indian Forest Service (IFS):
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree with one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, or an equivalent subject.
Note: The exam also covers several other prestigious services such as the Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Postal Service, Indian Revenue Service, and many others.
How to Apply for UPSC IAS / IFS Pre Exam 2024
Candidates must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) before applying for the UPSC Civil Services and Forest Services recruitment.
Photo Guidelines:
- The photo must be no more than 10 days old, with the candidate’s name and the date of the photo written on it. The background should be white.
OBC Certificate:
- Should be issued after 01 April 2023 for OBC candidates.
Candidates can apply for the UPSC Civil Services / Forest Service IAS / IFS Preliminary Exam 2024 between 14th February 2024 and 6th March 2024.
